Greyboard

Packs of Greyboard finally arrived, have re-packed them and they have gone out for sale. Lots of ideas of what to do with it, I will have to take some home and make up a sample project. Hurt my wrist playing tennis on the Wii, so doing the metalwork for Friday is proving a challenge!

Weather

Well, what a couple of weeks. We have been snowed in at home and snowed out from the shop. Living where I do on an unmade road, I was unable to get to the shop by car and had to resort to walking - not one of my favourite passtimes - but we only closed Wednesday last week. We did close early on a couple of days but only because my fingers and toes turned blue!!
Lots of work going on in the cabin, I had loads of crafty stuff for Christmas and my birthday, including a small sewing machine from the other half so I can sew grungeboard/tags etc.
Lots of work on card designs for the new courses plus ideas for the Crop on Saturday. Lots of ideas coming from all directions - too many to remember so have taken to jotting them down on bits of paper as they jump into my head. The first cricut course is this week, Heather is busy as I write planning the projects. Most of her courses are fully booked - just a few spaces left. Now where did I put those pieces of paper with my ideas on .....

Cricut Swarm

We had our first Cricut Swarm on Saturday 5th December, many thanks Heather for a lovely day and for all the inspirational cards she made. All the ladies said they enjoyed themselves, most re-booking for next time. Heather designed a project for them to complete, see the image on the left. It was a small wall hanging. However - one of the clever ladies decided to use it as a card front instead which worked really well.
Thanks again to all the attendees for making our first Swarm a success.
We are having our next one in February so check out the website for more details.

Wendy Stenton Demonstration

....... well I have finally managed to persuade Wendy of WS Designs to come and do a demo for us in October. She is staying with her sister-in-law and agreed to combine her visit with coming into the shop. More details to follow later, but the provisional date is the 3rd October at 10.00.
I've also finished the acrylic album and have now started on the Christmas card in a tin which is next week. the papers were delivered today and they are lovely.
Heather's cricut course today went down really well again and we have taken lots of booking for the Cricut Swarm we are running in December.

New products

I have spent lots of time this weekend working on next weeks Christmas acrylic album as well as jotting down ideas for other classes. I love working on projects for classes as I get to work with all the new products that come into the shop. This project is using Bo-Bunny papers which are lovely, but double sided which is awful as both sides are so beautiful its hard to make my mind up which side to use ! There have been lots of Christmas products coming in, they seem to be going really well.
